We like to think we’re pretty good at putting together successful social media campaigns to meet the business objectives of our clients. But it’s always a thrill to have this talent recognised by our business peers. A few weeks ago Briscoe French was the Devon social media agency to win the Best Use of Social Media award at the Devon Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner & Awards evening.
The campaign entered for the competition was a specific drive by our client, the Royal Hospital School, to recruit more pupils from maritime families eligible for a special bursary awarded by the school’s founding charity, Greenwich Hospital. They also wanted the social media campaign to raise awareness of the school among Royal Navy, Royal Marines and the maritime community in general.

The results were 260% more bursary applications in 2018 compared to 2017. Plus, assuming Greenwich Hospital agree to finance all of these pupils for entry in 2018 and they continue to the end of the Sixth Form, this will be worth in the region of £2.43 million to the school.
