After attending this quarter’s Girls in Marketing webinar, where the discussion focused on Q2 updates in the marketing world, one topic really stuck with me: new Google AI-powered marketing tools.

It got me thinking about how we could implement these tools at Briscoe PR. This will not just to improve our own business development, but also to deliver even greater value to our clients.

At the recent Google Marketing Live event, Google introduced a suite of AI-driven tools designed to streamline marketing operations and enhance campaign performance. For PR agencies, these innovations offer a powerful opportunity to elevate how we plan, execute, and measure results.

Here’s what PR professionals need to know and how to start preparing:

1. Get to know Google’s new “Marketing Advisor”

One of the headline announcements was Marketing Advisor, an AI agent built directly into Chrome. This tool will learn your campaign goals, analyse data, and offer real-time, personalised recommendations. You’ll even be able to communicate with it via text or voice.

It might sound a bit futuristic (or even slightly intimidating!), but it’s packed with potential.

Instead of relying solely on manual audits or third-party tools, Marketing Advisor can help PR teams identify where client websites could be better optimised or tagged for visibility, receive suggestions for improving content relevance and troubleshoot SEO issues with data-backed insights.

This added agility allows teams to react faster, reduce turnaround times, and ultimately lessen the strain on internal resources.

2. Use AI to spot trends and adapt quickly

Google’s AI tools are also able to detect seasonal trends and recommend timely campaign adjustments. This could be a game-changer when it comes to staying ahead of audience behaviour and media interest.

This tool can benefit agencies by surfacing trending topics or key periods of high engagement, plan media pitches and PR activations around real-time insight, and align PR efforts more effectively with paid and owned media strategies.

By letting AI lead the way with trend analysis, your team can focus on being proactive rather than reactive.

3. Enhance reporting and performance tracking

Google is also embedding AI assistants into its Ads and Analytics platforms. These tools can analyse complex data sets, simplify reporting, and uncover meaningful insights in less time.

For agencies, this means faster, clearer reporting for clients, more informed campaign recommendations and more time spent on creative thinking and strategic planning.

While these tools aren’t live just yet, they’re expected to roll out later this year. It gives PR agencies a window to start preparing. Whether that’s upskilling the team, exploring how AI fits into existing workflows, or identifying clients who could benefit most from these advancements.

At Briscoe PR, we’re excited by the opportunities AI presents. Tools like Marketing Advisor have the potential to make PR teams more strategic, more efficient, and more data-driven than ever before.

The key is to start small, stay curious, and keep an open mind 🙂
